Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by MK Hairstylist Lounge. They are designed to ensure a smooth, professional and luxurious experience for both you as the client and MK Hairstylist Lounge as a business.
2. Appointments
Appointments are available at our salon in Rijswijk and, by arrangement, at your preferred location. All appointments are subject to availability. When booking, you agree to provide accurate contact details and, for mobile appointments, the correct address and access information.
3. Services & Pricing
All displayed prices are starting prices unless stated otherwise. Final pricing is determined by factors such as hair length, thickness, volume, desired result, number of extensions required and the time needed to complete the service. For mobile appointments, travel charges may apply and will be confirmed in advance where possible.
To help us deliver the best possible result, clients are expected to:
• Arrive on time or be ready at the agreed appointment time.
• Have clean, dry and thoroughly brushed hair, unless otherwise instructed.
• Inform MK Hairstylist Lounge in advance of any allergies, scalp conditions, sensitivities or other concerns.
• For mobile appointments, provide a clean, safe workspace with suitable seating, access to electricity and adequate lighting.

5. Deposits & Payments
A 25% deposit is required when booking online. Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is payable during your appointment, using the payment methods made available.
Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may result in the deposit being retained. Failure to attend your appointment without notice may mean that a new deposit is required before another appointment can be booked.
6. Results, Aftercare & Health
Every client’s hair is unique. Results may vary depending on your natural hair, previous treatments, lifestyle and how you maintain your hair and/or extensions.
Before your appointment, you are responsible for informing MK Hairstylist Lounge of any:
• allergies
• scalp conditions
• pregnancy
• hormonal changes
• recent chemical treatments
• hair loss or thinning
• medical conditions
• medications that may affect your hair or scalp
MK Hairstylist Lounge cannot be held responsible for reduced longevity, unexpected results or damage caused by factors beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• hormonal changes
• pregnancy
• medical conditions
• prescribed medication
• allergic reactions
• improper aftercare
• failure to follow maintenance advice
• excessive heat styling
• unsuitable hair products
• self-inflicted damage
• extensions that have been removed, coloured or otherwise altered by another salon or individual.
7. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you. However, if there is not enough time to complete your service, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled. In some cases, this may still be treated as a late cancellation and charges may apply in line with our deposit and cancellation terms.
8. Policy Updates
MK Hairstylist Lounge may update these Terms & Conditions from time from time. The version published on this website at the time of your booking will apply to your appointment.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions or from services provided by MK Hairstylist Lounge will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
